Default '68 Shock Tower VIN Tag Appearance?

For the '68 AMXs that had the spot-welded VIN tag on the passenger shock tower, can anybody tell me how the "AMERICAN MOTORS" and (below that) numbers appeared? Were they perfectly even and legible, or were they stamped in such a fashion that they were not neat and orderly? Rather like the stamped VIN on the fender wall, which appears to be uneven e.g. punched in digits/letters?

If anybody has some good pics of a '68 metal VIN stamp/tag and can provide such here or email to me at peden@endicott.edu I would be grateful.

    Thanks...!
