and all that JAV

I just got my 72 SST...and I have not yet had the time to dig into this problem yet.

Its very strange.....The crank feels normal....it travels the regular number of rotations in either direction then stops ...BUT...it does not move the glass up or down....funny thing....it does tighten the glass UP 100% a hair and lets it come down about 3/16th" but nore more than that.

In my experience with most cars....either the regulator works or it don't.

Has anyone else ever experienced this and is there an aftermarket window regulator that will work on the 71-74 Jav's?

It could be a stripped gear mechanism in the crank assembly. Or maybe the regulator is hitting a track stop for some reason or a remote mirror cable, but it could be a number of things. You'll just have to remove the door panel and look inside to investigate what is stopping the mechanism. No aftermarket regulators are available so if you need one used or NOS is about it.

Let us know what you find is causing the problem.
