Does anyone know where I can find some good wiring prints for a 69 AMX? I have some old ones pieced together out of an old Chiltons book I believe. They are not very complete or readable. They don't show the Tach harness and they don't indicate what wires in the instrument cluster do what. I'd like something more complete if I can find it.

Barron,
Looks like this place has what you are looking for;

Did you ever purchase them? If so, was it worth it?

I've added the diagram from the TSM to the site at:
http://www.amx-perience.com/wiring.html
The diagram has been broken down into six sections for printing. Click each link then print that section. Put all six together to have the complete diagram when done. The print would be too small to be of any value if the diagram is printed as a single page. Hopefully this will work okay.

The Tach wiring can be found here:

I second that thanks. BTW, I found a source for reprints of the 69 AMC shop manual. Bishko Automotive Literature. I e-mailed the Haynes people and they replied with the suggestion in about 2 hrs. (I ordered one and just got it today). It's very good quality, and includes all the wiring prints. Sweet! Blk68 also found a source, sounds like the same book. http://www.books4cars.com/result2.htm?findyear=1969&Submit=Go

I have a 71 TSM if anyone needs info I'm willing to scan it. Of course 71-74 were essentially the same car, which is why I got it understanding my 74Jav.

Paul (New2AMC), welcome to the forums :D

ChevelleSSLS6,
Thanks for the welcome. I haven't been here in a while, but like to brouse around now and then to learn some things about AMC's. I've always liked the looks of the javelin and Ambassador, but have never had the privledge of owning one. Maybe some day.
