i'm looking for any help to identify the engine that i have in my boat.i have gone rounds with the mopar folks and the last person that i talked to sayed it could probably be a amc engine so here i am.i have looked all over the engine and still couldn't find any numbers except for the ones on the bell which are 1381622.i have scraped picked and scraped some morein hopes that the numbers are just going to appear but they haven't.any help would be nice

From your picture it certainly looks like an AMC V-8 to me. It's an interesting application as I haven't seen one in marine use before. It looks like it has been painted Ford Blue, possibly after having been rebuilt? Anyway, AMC made it easy to confirm the cid. The cid number is cast on the sides of the block in approximately 2" high numbers, they’re located behind (above) the engine mounts (automotive mounts, not the marine mounts it's using). You should see either 290, 304, 343, 360, 390 or 401 cast in the block.
What kind and year of boat is it in?
