    Default ignition reg.vs dist.

I am starting work on a 69 amx and am curious to the least expensive way, if one. Which is the more effective upgrade, regulator or dist.? Should I just do both at once and bite the bullet.
    thanks

    Default msd

i went with the msd ignition system distributor and box in my 68 AMX

mounted the box in an inconspicuous place and painted it to make it look not gaudy. looks pretty stock, works amazing.

Just a suggestion: The Pertronix works pretty well too. It fits under the cap so it looks stock, if that's important to you.

I have the same question. I need to know how to wire in the factory Tach on my AMX with an electronic ignition system. The factory tach is wired in series in the ignition wire to the coil. The electronic ignition has one wire for the Tach feed. I'm thinking I can just wire into the coil/ignition feed wire on the new one, but I don't want to let the smoke out of my tach. I have posed the question to Edelbrock as well. I'll post my findings.
