    Default just picked up another 68 AMX

    saved may be a better word...cat has some cool documented history
    Im trying to remember where the vin is stamped on the block, its in the rear
    right ?

    here is a pic of my 68..
    Its a 390 / Auto / am-fm radio / A/C . in dash tach model..
    its been in Az since almost day 1, outside Tucson in a very small
    town since 69. It was parked and left aside in 1976.
    18k original miles...az car.

    man you found a diamond in the ruff I see your dash # is 06539 I have a 68 390 auro with AC and my number is 01666 and it only had 52K miles on it and i love it, I drive it as much as I possibly can

    The CID is cast on the sides of the block, up by the motor mounts. The decode tag is (or was) on the valve cover. Here's how to decode the tag - http://www.amx-perience.com/articles...%20Tag%20Codes

    There is also a part number cast into the block on top by the transmission flange. Nice car. Wasn't it on Ebay?

    yep, that is the car on ebay. I was eye balling it
