    Default Recommended street oil

Wondering what recommendations exist for oil in my 1970 390 AMX? Its a street car, not raced, and driven primarily in climates from 40 degrees to 80 degrees. I have had recommendations for 20w-50 Brad Penn, good stuff. Wondering if that weight is too stout or will work fine for this use. Appreciate your help.

I used to run 20W-50 over the summer and never had any issues. It was too heavy to run in the fall as some night it would get really cold and it would thicken up like molasses. They have 20W-50 synthetics now that would be even better. The only reason I tended to run it was so the engine leaked less and I did not have to keep filling it up. Loved that car.
