Question Front Sway Bar Bushings '70 AMX

    Hello All,

This is my first post here after looking around. What a great collection of information and a wealth of knowledge.

So I'm looking to replece the bushings on the front sway bar on a 1970 AMX. From what I can gather they offer replacements for either a 7/8 (.875) or 13/16 (.812) bar. When I measure mine it measures .945 inches.

I had another sway bar in the garage that I beleive was out of a '69 AMX, that also measures .945.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I simply go with the larger 7/8 bushing? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

So the conclusion reached, for those who may encounter the same issue, is to go woth custom bushings / brackets. The folks at Prothane were very helpful. I will post pre and post picks when done.
