Don, Thanks for the compliment. It was a very interesting project, trying to use Dick Teague's design (71-AMX 2-seater prototype) for the front end and then graft on the 73/74 Javelin rear end.
There is an extra 3 1/2 inches in height between the 68-70 Javelin/AMX and the 71-74 Javelin, between the bottom edge of the trunk lid and the top edge of the bumper, so that is probably why Teague did not do the mod.
The current article, about Teague's car, in the Jan. 2006 Hemmings Muscle Machines says he did not have the time or money to do it.
It certainly took both to complete the project, plus change out the dash/steering column interior to 71-74.
