X-perience AMX 46 - 50

Here are two photos of my 69 AMX. It has a 401 with a four speed and Go-Pack. I'm amazed at the many Internet sites where parts are still available. I will be slowly over time, as money allows, restoring the AMX as closely as possible to original condition! I've owned my AMX since 1977. The car runs in the family, as I have an uncle of a 68 AMX who is the original owner. I'd love to hear from other AMX owners in the Southern California area.

Hey there, I saw your site and thought I might send you a picture of my AMX funny. It's the only one left of three that were built in '68 (the other two got wrecked) it went as fast as 7.0's @190 mph in the quarter mile when it was campaigned by the Boggs Brothers as a BB/FC. It had a supercharged, alcohol injected hemi for motivation. I've been considering selling it, but am still unsure about that.
Thanks for a great site!!

Attached is a picture of my 1969 AMX. It is a 390 Automatic with leather interion and A/C. I bought it from Howard Perry in 1999. It is in outsatnding condition and has been shown in several Club shows around the New England area. I drove it to the AMO National Show in Conneticut in July 2000 and got a silver level award in the Non-Stock class.

I am Roger Luksik and I have owned this 1968 AMX for the last eleven years. It is all original, with 21,500 miles on the odometer, 390, go-pak and automatic transmission. I bought it from my brother who owned it for 6 years. He wanted to finish a 1933 DeSoto streetrod and had a Willow Green, 343, 1969 AMX so the '68 had to go. Several years ago it was chosen to be displayed at the prestigious Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance to honor a co-founder of the event -- AMX designer, Dick Teague. I also own another 1968 AMX that I purchased in 1970. That car has 55,000 miles, 390, stick and is Rally Green wo/stripes. After I finish restoring a 1941 Packard (yeah, Dick designed for them too) convertible I will start begin to restore it. I live in the Detroit area and enjoy meeting all of the AMC design guys -- Vince Geraci, Jim (hard-trim Jim) Alexander, Don Munoz, etc. Hope you enjoy the photos.
