The first picture (click on the page curl) is how I bought the car 2 years ago in San Diego it had been sitting in a guys drive way for 12 years. The interior was gone, motor frozen and had been painted black not the right color. This picture is the car 1 1/2 years later almost completely redone the way it should have been back in 68.

It was almost 14 years ago I decided to rebuild the "car" to run in the vintage races. The car being my x-S.C.C.A. 68 A-Production AMX. I had bought it new in 1968, #000154. I traded in my 66 Sunbeam Tiger for it plus cash.
White with black stripes, red interior and the Go-Pack. A 390 4-speed with optional gauges. Came to about $4000.00 out the door. The big thrill came when I hit the freeway and punched it. There was only one other thing that could compare to the feeling but I'll pass on the explanation. I was constantly getting asked, "What kind of car is that?" People would look at me funny when I told them it was a Rambler.

Bought the car in 1977 while in college and could never part with it. Put in a barn 1981-1993. 360 auto, black leather interior, 47,000 miles. It even smells like it did the first day I purchased it; talk about memory recall! More pics later.
