1968 AMX, 390 V8, 3 speed automatic purchased in 1970 from a dealer in Topeka, Kansas. This car was a forced trade-in...the original owner's insurance company would not insure the car (too fast), so he traded it in for a Firebird 400! I had been researching "muscle" cars and after reading a favorable article in Esquire magazine, I purchased the car. I replaced the original five spoke hub caps with slotted chrome wheels and have replaced the interior carpeting and seat coverings. The engine/drive train are all original. The car has been repainted once maintaining the original color.
I keep it in storage a few miles from my home in Lawrence, Kansas and take it out periodically for an exhilarating spin. Each time I park it in public, someone invariably leaves a nice note under the windshield wiper offering to buy! Nice compliments! Ron Miller

Here is a picture of my 70 AMX 360 auto. 100% original, I bought it about 3 yrs. ago from the 2nd owner. Go package, Brown/Tan interior, Shadow Mask, Bittersweet Orange, Remote mirror, 93,000 miles Dash Plaque #17579, Original space saver spare tire. Runs and drives like the day it came off the show room floor. It eats up 5.0 litre Mustangs too.
I have another 70 AMX I am currently restoring with 390 Auto Go Package, will send pics when done.
Thanks, Roy
