X-perience AMX 86 - 90

One of 836 the 1970 AMX's powered by the 360 and 4 speed configuration, has the GO Package with air ram induction, R4B intake manifold, high volume exhaust manifolds and front lower spoiler.

Here are some pictures of my 1970 AMX. It was a 360 Automatic with 90K when I bought it back in 1979. I replaced the 360 with a slightly built 390 and a built Chrysler Tourqeflight tranny. The car had black leather, air, as far as I could tell had a replaced quarter panel. I found it totally by accident at a small car lot in Tacoma Washington after my 70 Javelin had been almost totaled by a stoned guy running a red light. The brown 69 is a friend of mine's and had a very built 401. This car turned 12:90 in full street trim and ruled the roost in the Tacoma/Puyallup area for a few years as none of the Chevy boys could take him. This was around 1980-82.
Thanks for your site. Brings back great memory's.

Our 1970 AMX took us three years to restore. She won gold in 2000 Nationals, gold in 2001 and 2002 Regional's. She won drivers choice trophies at two shows 1970 to 1977 muscle car class. She has 5 First place, 4 second, 3 third, Three club choice awards and numerous Cruise Trophies. She did all this in Chevy Country. I'm so proud of our car. My husband and I did all the restoration except for the seats. (I have to learn how to do that.) My husband and I hope that AMC lives on forever. They are beautiful cars and God Bless them all and the people who restore them.

This is my 5th AMX in my lifetime. My first New car was a 1969 Regatta Blue and Platinum 390 4sp Go-Pack car. It is still in my area with only 29000 miles but the guy who owns it will not sell it and it is justing sitting in his garage with no engine in it.
My next AMX was a 1968 343 auto white with black. Then a 70 gopack ram air, 4 sp, air and leather car with sidepipes and machine wheels. BBG shadow mask and black (should never have let that one get away).
I purchased the car in the picture 10 years ago. It was a great driver with only some rust behind the rear window and the very back and bottom of the rear quarter panels. This car was restored over the past year.
Then another 69 4sp car green with charcoal leather that was my show car that burnt up due to an electrical short caused by gauges installed by the previous owner.
Please include the pictures you want in AMX lives and you have the numero uno AMX site.
Thanks
Jim

Here is my 68' AMX. I recently had the body stripped down to the metal and repainted Big Bad Blue. ( I know, its a 69' & 70' color ) No rust and no body damage! It has 72,000 miles and runs like a champ. The tires and rims are new additions as well as air shocks and a Flowmaster exhaust system. The engine is stock. This is my second AMX, the first one was back in high school.
