amc 304 to 360 head swap?
Hey everyone, I am new to the whole AMC thing. So far I love the engines. I've got an old 76' 304 and my question is will amc 360 heads work if not what needs to be done to accomodate them. Also what years of the 360 heads will work if they do at all? Thanks guys for your help. J.Shank

The intake valve will hit the edge of the bore of the cylinders if you put large valve 360 or 401 heads on a 304 block. It can't be done unless a professional notches the block of each 8 cylinders.
