4 speed verus auto

I have a chance to buy a 79 amx with a 360 motor and 4 speed transmission. Here is my question, will the 4 speed go in my 69, that curently has a automatic? Will the clutch and brake pedels from the 79 work in the 69? How hard of a job is it, and most of all, am I crazy for even thinking of changing out a perfectly good auto for a 4 speed?

The pedals won't work and the 4-speed won't bolt up. Far too much to convert including tearing down the motor to rebalance the rotating mass. Best to let that one go.
