    Beware of switching PS pumps

I purchased a Chrome Saginaw PS pump w/res from a Speed Shop. I drove 2hrs. one way, the tech assured me that it would fit my 69 AMX. WELL it didn't and to top it off I bent my old pulley, try buying one of them! I'm finding it very hard to dress up the AMX !

That sucks. I tried dressing mine up just a bit with something as simple as a chrome brake reservoir cap bought from an AMC vendor. It didn't fit like it should though and it leaked brake fluid in the engine compartment, which ate the then 3 year old paint. I was NOT happy. Hope you get yours sorted out.

I'm in the middle of a PS rebuild and was considering a straight swap-out, so this is (unfortunately) timely.

One thing I have done in the meantime, is I sprayed the reservoir in Pompeii yellow, instead of returning it to gloss black. It pops.
