    Angry Gas tank help needed

Hi all, I removed the gas tank from my 74 Javelin and wasn't able to trace where the float wires were hooked on to the tank. I'm ready to re-install the tank but I have two wires danging down from the frame. One is green and one is white. I figure the green attaches directly to the stud sticking out of the float unit. I can't see anywhere that the white wire would connect to. There is no terminal to plug into or any screws to attach it to. Can anyone give me a hand?

The green wire goes to the main stud on the sender. The white wire should be about 6" long or so and it is a ground. The white wire is soldered to the sending unit main plate and has an eyelet on the other end which connects to the frame with a single sheet metal screw.
