Jeep rear axel in Javelin
I'm having trouble locating an AMC V8 rear axel assembly for my Javelin. I'm putting a V8 into 6 cylinder. I've done almost all the converting I need except the rear end. Can I put a Jeep CJ7 rear end into a Javelin? The one I'm looking at is about 3 inches shorter than my existing axel. Its an AMC 20, so its the right rear end, just a little shorter. Thanks. Mark.

I am still interested in any info anybody could give me. I bought the Jeep axel but haven't put it on yet. I'm thinking I could use a couple of spacers over the lug studs since I've seen them for sale. So, Jeep AMC 20 rear axel and housing on a '68 Javelin, anybody? Thanks.
