70AMX brakes
Hi all
I'm helping my neighbor to get his 70 AMX back on the road. It's been sitting for four years and all he gets to do is sit in the driveway and go VROOOM VROOOOOM. . We are going to go through the brakes and change everything lines, cylinders, pads etc. Do I need a puller to remove the rear drums? I'm not familiar with AMC stuff so I don't damage anything.
Thanks
Mike

Rear drum removal
Rear brakes are removed by taking the 5/16ths bolt out of the drum. No need to remove the big nut (these nuts actually hold the axles in). There should be 3 small bolts (5/16ths) for each drum. If they aren't there, not to worry, it just means that some time in the past the car had the rear brakes replaced and the mechanic did not put them back in. Anyway, just remove them if they are there and the drum comes off like a normal drum. Hope that this helps you a little.
