Gussett Repair, 69 AMX???????
Guy I am buying the car from, 69 AMX says the "gussetts behind the front fenders were rotted out. He said the drain holes were plugged and they rotted out. He said they run from the firewall to the rad support behind the front fenders. Does this make since to anyone on here and is this common? Is this a big deal? Can anyone explain or clarify what this means.
Thanks!

gussett repair 69 amx
any good body shop can cut out bad section and replace with section cut out of another car(javelin and amx share same sub-structure)find a parts car that got hit hard in rear and cut out needed channel sections.check with amc vendors who cut up cars for parts or you could actually make new sections out of new sheet metal with the right equipment.either way expect to pay for it.these kinda repairs aint cheap.note i am not sure about using parts from 70 on up, they may be slightly different, anyone out there know for sure about later model stuff?
