Rear Shackle length

Hello Again : I am in the process of replacing my worn out, sagging ,formerly heavy duty 5 leaf suspension on my 68 Jav SST Go Pack. The previous owner put homemade shackles with the distance from frame bushing to shackle bushing being about 7 inches to compensate for the sagging springs. With the brand new springs I need to know what the distance should be in order to not have the car with too severe of a rake. Thanks.

I'd just measure the length of about the same year AMC. Might even head
to your local bone yard.
