Electric windshield wipers

Can anyone help on the conversion from vacuum wipers to electric. My biggest problem as of now is where to hook the power supply to. When the switch is out of the dash, it works! When I put the switch back in, it blows the accessories fuse (which is where I hooked it to, even though I know it shouldn't hook up there). Any help would be greatly appreciated...I am out of fuses!

well something is wrong if you are blowing fuses,maybe you are applying power to the wrong post on the switch??are you using stock wiring plugs or did you make your own leads??
