conversion to tic-tach with msd box
I've got a 1974 Javelin with a non-original 360 engine. When I got the car a couple of years ago, it had an MSD 6 series ignition box and Ford duraspark distributor installed. I got a set of tic-tach gauges and have gotten the majority of them to function properly. I'm having problems with the tachometer. I had the tach repaired, but realized that I would need to get an MSD tach adapter (MSD 8920). However, there is only a single connector coming out of the tachometer, and there are 3 wires coming out of the MSD tach adapter. The instructions mention something about "voltage triggered" and "current triggered". It also references the original set up, which I'm not aware of since I didn't have the car originally. Does anyone know of how this set up should be connected?
