Coil springs
Hi all. I'm trying to find out if the front end of my '68 Javelin has been lowered. I know the rear was and I removed it, so I'm assuming the front was too. Does anyone out there know the number of coils in the front coil springs? I'm thinking that a previous owner might have cut them. The car was originally a 6 cylinder. Thanks in advance.

If it was originally a six cylinder it would have lighter springs to begin with. Maybe they were never changed? If you want new ones I found a listing here http://www.eatonsprings.com/amc.htm (no price) and here they are listed for $65.00 a pair http://www.espo.com/ They are listed under AMX at espo.

Thanks for the info. I didn't even think about the shocks being lighter. I need to change them anyway then.
