You really don't need a part number for the radio or face plate, all 1968 and 1969 AMX and Javelin radios are the same. Unless he has the original documentation (and wants to keep it original) his choices for a radio are; AM, AM-FM or AM 8-Track stereo.

AM will be the easiest and least expensive to find. You should be able to pick one up in the $75-$125 range. A few years ago an original AM-FM would bring an easy $500. I wouldn't be surprised if they are a couple hundred more than that now. And the AM 8-Track have been bringing pretty good money but aren't as high as the AM-FM.

I had my original 4-piston calipers rebuilt with stainless steel, it was expensive but I wanted to keep it stock and bought extra pads years ago should they need replacing. But, for swapping disc brakes to the later 2-piston calipers check these threads:
