gas tank replacement
I just went out to take a look under my 68 X to check for rear swaybar clearance and found a big hole in my gastank from a matic to steal my gas.
I guess I am lucky they did not just blow up the car. I usually keep the tank full with a locking cap. Does anyone make a replacement? Or does anyone have a good used one?

There was some talk a couple years ago of repo gas tanks being made but I never heard if they were done or not. I'd call try www.californiaclassicamc.com or American Performance in FL for a used one. Either can tell you if the repros were done.

There are no reproductions available. To determine the correct tank when buying a used one you'll need to specify where the vent on the tank is and its capacity. California tanks have a smaller capacity.
