Fuel Additive
Sorry if this is a question that has been answered before. I'm a new AMX owner -- 390, Auto, Go Pack, original motor that doesn't show evidence of a rebuild. The car came to me with 1/4 tank of gas, and I drove it 10 or 15 miles and it runs great. Yesterday I put gas in the tank, along with a can of octane booster. After that, I noticed the car smoking. It definitely wasn't smoking before.
First question -- do I need to add an octane booster to the gas? And second, could this cause the car to smoke?
Again, sorry for the dumb questions...but this is my first time owning a muscle car.
