Cragar S/S wheel question
Recently purchased a set of Cragars, 15/7 front, 15/8 rear. The rears fit good but the fronts don't fit. They don't clear the brake calipers. I was shocked. What can I do and can anybody recommend a chrome wheel for my 1969 AMX in these sizes?

Crager S/S
Do you have the steel spacer plates installed on the front? Without them the wheel will hit the caliper and bind.

As a follow-up: Any AMC with dual piston calipers - 1970 and prior - used these factory steel spacers to keep the wheel away from the caliper. The caliper casting can rub on the rim unless this factory spacer is used. This applies to both factory and aftermarket wheels.

Resurecting an old thread here.
Would a rim like the AR Torque thrust D need the spacer as well. My understanding is the D stands for disc and the rim has clearance built in. Or do I need to call American Racing?

Hmmm....good question. I think I have the spacers on mine with AR wheels but I don't remember if I tried them without.
edit-see previous post above, dual piston calipers need spacers for aftermarket wheels.
