Javelin brakes
Hi.Will pass on what I was told by another AMX guy.you can swap out the entire brakes with any AMC car Matador, hornet Spirit.Concord.see AMC used the same axle spindle set up on all cars.I did my AMX brakes and converted them to the disc brakes from a 1982 spirit..dont try to mix and match anything..find an AMC car and remove rotors ,calipers, spindles, and all hardware...remove yours and install the new stuff..it cost my under 150.00..to convert my front disc brakes...good luck..any questions just email me...

Disc Brakes Power Booster
Do not do what I did and forget the power booster (if you want Power Brakes), Cost me some coin for a remanafactured booster. The single diaphram booster will work until you have to apply some heavy braking, which where we live is almost constant. The disc power booster is a dual diaphram booster which disc brakes require.
