rear diff info
im looking for info concerning the rear differential in my 69 amx [ i.e. type , gear ratio etc ]
the car is a 390 with a 4 spd trans

Standard ratio with a four-speed is a 3.54:1 though other ratios were available. In an AMX it could be either an Open rear end (standard), Sure-Grip (optional or standard with Go-Pack option), or Locker (optional).

The rear-end is an AMC Model 20 or Dana 20 (the AMC rear end is made by Dana). For high performance use installing one-piece forged steel axles is recommended.
