This is my 1970 AMX which I bought in Sacremento, CA in May 1995. The car is a 360 Auto, tan leather interior, originally Gold Green with Shadow Mask with dash no.21827. A little over 70,000 original miles. Car was original for wife, she is now gone and I still have the car! Did I make out?!? Want to restore the car to original concours condition when time and money permits. The car sits in a climate controlled garage in an undisclosed area in the mountains of WV...

This is my 1969 AMX, the Return to Daytona was it's first show, it has been redone from the ground up. It is a 390 bored .030 over, 4-speed 3:54 rear. It has a rally pack and almost everything that could be be on it new was. I have been involved with Nash's, Ramblers and AMC's all my life. I have even owned a 1954 Nash Healy roadster. I work for a AMC dealer from 1967/1969 in Florida, my father was going to be part owner at a dealership in W.Va. but after two years it didn't work out. I have raced AMCs since 1965 and have owned more than I can count. Your web site is great.

Hi, I think your site is first rate. Here are some pics of my 1968 AMX that I had to sell. It was bought as a parts car but--- I could not scrap it. The nose was all hit, the doors & deck lid were shot. But the floor, trunk and quarters were good. Sooo I built it to sell. Was a 390 4 sp go-pac car. I put it together with all my spare parts. I sold it a gentleman after it was finished, and he was going to tear it down someday and restore it to concours shape. Some day I will own another 2 seater probably a 70 as I also have owned a Donohue I like the 70 nose. My present car is a 1973 Jav-AMX "The Black Widow" a modified car with a destroked 390 to 358 crossram Cardin int, 9" Ford rear with AMC disc brakes. And a Highly detailed suspension chromed control arms . This car was featured in Car Craft in Dec 1986.
Thanks in advance, Bob Kowalski kowalski.tgi@snet.net

I'm Doni Wixom and this is my 1970 AMX. I saved this from being a parts car. It has a 390 with automatic transmission. Everything had to be redone on this, motor, paint, bushings, you name it. I picked it up for $1500.00 but 12 grand later I'm still not quite done with it. But hey it is worth every penny just to drive it through town and watch people break their necks to catch a peek, although I dread the stupid traditional question "What is That?, a Mustang?". I do recommend to any of you single guys out there, AMX's are babe magnets. My wife agrees, we have been married 13 years and I have good taste, obviously. Great Web Site.

Hey, great site. I'm a 21 year old student who barely scraped up enough money to buy my first AMX. I inherited my love for them through my dad who is currently working on a 1969 Big Bad Blue Javelin. Mine however is a 1968 AMX, 390 go-package, automatic trans. and only 58,000 miles. It's Calcutta Russet which is an odd color in itself.

This is a picture of my AMX project car. We have all seen cars like this in the past. You have helped me with paint and serial numbers. Just last week or so we e-mailed about turn signals. Yes, I found the problem, and they work now. I hope you get this picture. I will send more as the project comes to life.

This 1970 AMX came from MO in 1989. Pat Adams did a ground up on it that year and it won Gold and Platinum two years in a row. As you can see it has a lot of options which include BBO with Shadow Mask, Machine wheels, Trendsetter side pipes, it has a 390 cu.in.v-8 with A/C, automatic, 3.54 gears, Ram Air, [Go-Pack], Rally Pack, leather int, tilt wheel, rear window defogger. the car is now getting ready for this year by re-doing the interior and making sure all works behind the dash.

This is all about my dad's AMX! Well, we started out with a 1939 Ford 2 dr sedan full custom but, had to sell it! And we bought our 1969 AMC AMX about 2 months after we sold it! And let me tell you the AMX is so much funner! We get out alot more in the AMX then in the '39! I'm in high school and my dad would bring me to school in it and heads would be turning from the time we drove down the street! And all day long I would get people coming up to me and asking what it was and telling me it sounds so good! Now I'll tell you a little about it: its got a 390, bored.30 over, balanced, forged crank & rods, Competition cam-.504 lift, roller rockers, Keith Black Silvo-lite hyperuetectic pistons: 10 to 1 compression ratio, Dog-leg port cylinder heads, Edlebrock Torker intake manifold, Holley 650cfm double pumper, Mallory Unilite distributor, Mallory Promaster coil, Hooker headers, 2 1/2in. Flowmasters, has Go-pack, Borg-Warner close ratio 4-speed, M-20 rearend, 3.54 ratio with Twin-Grip, runs low 13's!!!! Car# 5,870 anymore questions or comments please write to us!

Well like I said,  this is my dad's car so you can write to me (Sara) or my dad (Keith) at kruzr@lodelink.com
Thanks, Sara & dad Keith
